Snug Harbor has the best waterfront location in Chincoteague. The waterfront cottages overlook the Assateague Island, the Chincoteague National Park and the Wildlife Refuge, the lighthouse and the wild ponies. You cen see the wild ponies grazing across the channel most of the days. It is incredible view!

Snug Harbor is one of the longest running establishments on Chincoteague Island! Come and experience the charm and beauty that Chincoteague & Assateague have to offer and check into Snug Harbor Marina and get a taste of the tropics. Enjoy the sand, palm trees and surf and get lost in the islands!

We offer different set ups in our 1BR cottages so please feel free to call in to specify your preference. Some of them are studio type ( one large open space) with one queen pillow top bed+ full size futon bed, full kitchen and one bathroom. Some other ones have a bedroom with queen or full size pillow top bed plus a living room with full size futon bed, full kitchen and one bathroom. Some of the cottages accept dogs with an advance notice at additional fee ( please call in to check on availabilty of pet friendly cottages). We allow 2 dogs per cottage max. We don't allow leaving pets unattended in the cottage unless they are crated and well behaved. We rent crates ( with an advance request) for your convenience or you are welcome to bring your own. Check in at 4pm, Check out 10am.
