Your private English speaking guide will greet you directly at the Cruise Terminal in Venice Port, for this Highlight tour.
Your first activity will be a private boat ride on a luxury boat, through the Giudecca Canal. To reach the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
The church of Saint George, built in the 16th C., is among Andrea Palladio‘s greatest architectural achievements.
The major works of art in the church are two large paintings by Tintoretto: The Last Supper and the Gathering of the Manna. An impressive choir-stalls right behind the Main Altar will draw your attention, before taking the elevator to reach the top of the bell tower.
The view and the incomparable Venetian features will take your breath away. Your next stop will be Murano Island, sailing by the Lido Island, the church of Saint Peter, former Cathedral of Venice, and the old Shipyard. In Murano you will visit one of the major glass making factories where the worldwide renowned handmade glass art is produced.
To reach Saint Mark’s Square, you’ll ride through some of the typical small canals of the Catello District. The tour will continue with an orientation walk through the most famous Square in the world, surrounded by majestic buildings dating from the 11th to the 19th Century.
