Situated in a wall of sandstone to the north of Hobart, this gallery experience is sure to raise a few eye brows. Travel by boat up the Derwent River before spending some time perusing the museum. Afterwards enjoy lunch at the Source before revelling in the adjoining Moorilla winery for a unique wine experience.
Your guide will meet you at 10am this morning for the short drive to Constitution Dock. Here we have you booked to join the Mona Roma, Mona’s own luxury vessel. Sitting up in front in the Posh Pit you will have the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee or sample some great food and wine as you venture up the Derwent River. On arrival at MONA you will have around 2 hours to discover this interesting and controversial Museum. The Museum of Old and New Art is an art museum located within the Moorilla winery on the Berriedale peninsula in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The museum presents antiquities, modern and contemporary art from the David Walsh collection. After discovering the diverse nature of Mona, we enjoy a two course lunch on site at The Source Restaurant overlooking the museum and neighbouring winery. Afterwards we have arranged an amazing behind the scenes tour and tasting of the organic Moorilla winery. This afternoon you will find out about the wine making process in Tasmania and what makes Moorilla so special. On completion your guide will drive you back to your hotel.
