ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

DO I NEED A BOATING LICENCE TO OPERATE A BOAT IN FLORIDA?

We advise all customers to complete a boating safety course. These courses do not take long and are easy to do. In addition, they are beneficial for your safety as well as the safety of your companions and other persons on the water.

All customers born on or after January 1, 1988 have to fulfill the following requirements to operate a motor boat with 10 hp or more:

  • Successful completion of a Boater Safety Course
  • possession of a Boating Safety Education Identification Card, issued by the FWC

We recommend this company for the boater safety course:

DO THE BOATS COME WITH INSURANCE?

Yes. All our boats are covered by comprehensive insurance with a deductible of $1,000. This comprehensive insurance is included in the price – as is the towing insurance provided by SeaTow.

HOW MUCH IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT?

When you pick up the boat, you have to pay a security deposit of $1,000. The deposit can be paid in cash or via credit card (hold) for the duration of the rental period.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Our prices include the instruction, cleaning, insurance and SeaTow. All prices are subject to a sales tax of 6,5 %. Gasoline has to be paid by the customer. There are no hidden costs.

DO I HAVE TO RETURN THE BOAT WITH A FULL TANK OF FUEL?

Yes. It is mandatory to fully refuel the boat before returning it. Otherwise, we will have to charge $7 per gallon, plus an additional service fee of $100.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BOAT HAS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM?

In the unlikely event that your boat has a mechanical problem, we will do our best to quickly give you another boat. If there is no other boat available, you will receive a partial refund.
All our boats are covered by the SeaTow membership. Should it be necessary to have your boat towed back to our docks, you do not have to pay additional costs.

CAN YOU DELIVER THE BOAT TO MY VACATION HOME?

Yes. For an additional service charge, we will deliver the boat to your vacation home. This service, however, is only available in the Cape Coral area. If you forgot to book your boat delivery and would like to do so, please contact us: +1 239-888-0369

DO THE BOATS COME WITH A NAVIGATION SYSTEM?

Yes. All our boats are either equipped with onboard navigation systems or with iPad navigation. If you want to find worthwhile spots like beaches, restaurants and other interesting places that can be reached by boat, we recommend iBoatmap.
