Trip overview:

We will meet early in the morning for the boat ride to this natural paradise that will amaze you with breathtaking island scenery and rich marine life. As you navigate alongside the island, your guide will brief you on its natural history. Once you arrive at the sea lion colony (roughly 1.5 hours), jump in the water accompanied by your guide to snorkel with the sea lions and observe tropical fish. Afterwards, your captain will seek out a secluded beach for a tasty lunch. You’ll have time to relax, make another snorkel or explore one of the island’s nature trails before heading back to La Paz in time for dinner.

Trip Details:

  • Trip typically departs at 9:00 a.m. from Muelle Fiscal. Enquire for special departure times and hotel pick-ups.
  • Trip returns to La Paz around 5 p.m.
  • All trips are staffed by certified bilingual naturalist guide and licensed captain.
  • Boats are outboard skiffs with full shade, seat cushions, and dry storage space.
  • Beginner/first time snorkelers are welcome, but must be able to swim to participate in snorkeling portion of trip.
  • Snorkeling in sea lion rookery is prohibited June-August.
  • Trip runs year round, depending upon wind and weather.
  • Physical level: Light to medium including boat travel, snorkeling and hiking (both optional).
