About
During the Scallop season, we head out to the grass flats in 3-5ft of water near Crystal River and Homosassa where we snorkel around in clear water and pick up scallops. The scallops are normally sitting on top of the sea grass at the bottom and we dive down to pick them up.
This is fantastic for families as it allows people of all ages and skill levels to be a part of the adventure. For the scalloping trip, we depart from the dock around 7am and normally it takes 2-4 hours to reach the harvest limit (2 gallons per person or 10 total gallons per boat).
All customers that are interested in scalloping should be comfortable using a mask and snorkel along with holding their breath and swimming underwater.
