The BSUPA Level 1 “Ready to Ride” group course (up to 6 people) is aimed at beginner to intermediate Stand Up Paddleboarders who want to learn the basics and more. Available both as a shared group or private class with 1-2-1 coaching.

Important to Know

Successful completion of this proficiency course is required, prior to being allow to SUP in the Royal Docks without instructor supervision. Ability to swim is mandatory. We cannot permit non swimmers into the water. At a minimum, participants should be able to swim a full length of a 25 meter pool and confidently tread water in an deep open water environment for 2 minutes.


  • We do not have any parking for vehicles at our site. Dockside vehicle access is not permitted, so we advise coming by public transport or finding parking via the following app: https://en.parkopedia.co.uk/
  • Please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session’s advertised start time. Check in procedure, equipment hire, changing into wetsuits and dry land introduction speech will take place prior to your water time. Late comers can not be accommodated in the session so please ensure you arrive well in advance to ensure you don’t miss out.
  • You will receive a link to your waiver in your booking confirmation email. Please ensure you have completed this before arriving to your session.
