The name Chincoteague is an Indian name that means beautiful land across the water and the only way to see what the Indians did is tour the islands by water, just like the natives. Choose 8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm and go to explore the beauty of our islands on your own! We have our own, private ramp you can launch from which makes it super easy and convienient! When you rent from Snug Harbor you will provided with a map and general info and recommendation where are the best places to go based on the current weather, tides and the wildlife sights.
