Experience a memorable day on the water with Moorhen, a spacious boat perfect for family outings or celebrations. Enjoy the freedom of a half or full-day rental, complete with safety gear, training, and a guide. Bring your own picnic or use our catering service to enhance your adventure!

Prices:

Half Day Rental (4h): £115.00 Full Day Rental (8h): £165.00

Time slots:

Half-Day (4 hour) - AM - 9am, 9.15am, 9.30am or 9.45am)

Half Day (4 hour) - PM - 1.30pm, 1.45pm, 2pm or 2.15pm

Full-Day (8 hour) - 10am, 10.15am or 10.30am

(Earlier start times i.e. if fishing, are available on request)

About Moorhen:

Moorhen is a large boat which also seats up to 7 people. She has a slightly larger more enclosed cuddy at the bow to provide protection from the weather. It has a HONDA 10hp engine with steering wheel. There is plenty of seating all around and lots of storage space.

A fantastic boat for a full day outing, picnic, sightseeing or celebration with family and friends. Very safe and easy to operate.

Damage Security Deposit:

A £150 security deposit will be required and is placed on HOLD using the same card details used at the time of booking. Please note we reserve the right to ask for additional money if the cost of any accident/damage/ loss/lateness incurred exceeds more than £150. None of the security damage deposit will be taken on safe, clean and timely return of the boat and/or our equipment!

How to book:

Online booking is the easiest way to book as it shows live availability & you book securely at any time, day or night! Please be aware there is 6% online booking fee shown at check out. You can also book directly by phone for no booking fee.

What to bring:

  • Food and drink - There are pubs and restaurants which are accessible on your trip. Or you may wish to bring your own picnic and drinks. No BBQs or cooking equipment allowed.
  • Alternatively, why not make the most of your trip and use our "Pack a Picnic" service. Our local provider has some gorgeous picnics and is happy to cater to all dietary requirements. Check our "Pack a Picnic" page for more details and costs. To order, just tick the "Add a Pack a Picnic" box when you make your booking and we will get the caterer to contact you.
  • You may bring alcohol on the boat but please drink sensibly and have an allocated person to drive the boat who isn’t drinking!! The river is dangerous and not a place to be acting irresponsibly!
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear - Check the weather forecast so you are fully prepared! Sun cream and sun hat is necessary in the hot weather, along with plenty of water. Waterproofs in the wet. Please do not wear high heels on the boats.
  • A camera -to snap those happy memories. Please feel free to upload them to our Facebook Page and share the good times!
  • A mobile phone(s) - with plenty of battery charge!
