In Selje you will meet the crew at the monastery boat. On the boattrip towards the island, you can see the beautiful archipelago surrounding the village on our way and really get close to the nature and the highlights of the area. On the north side of the island, we have a good view of the Stadt Peninsula towards the Western Cape of Norway. Here you can study the steep cliffs that dive into the ocean, and the small villages in between them. One of them is the village of Drage, where the Vikings pulled their boats over the mountain to avoid the infamous sea of Stadt. If you are lucky, you will be accompanied by sea eagles on your way

You can walk in the same halls as the benedict monks did for more than 700 years ago and climb the shallow stairways to the top of the tower. Follow the footsteps of St. Sunniva to the holy Sunnivacave and enjoy the magnificent view of the Selja monastery. Maybe you want to taste the healing water from the Sunniva source?
Once we get back to the harbour, you will have some leisure time in the small village Selje where you can stroll in the town centre, visit the old parsonage and the white beach.
