About

Each of our Girl Scout badge programs feature guided tours, close encounters with animals, and hands-on activities to help fulfill some or all requirements for earning a badge or journey.

  • Includes an All Day Adventure Pass for each scout, which grants unlimited, all-day access to the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit, Stingray Reef, and amusement rides (weather permitting.)
  • The actual badge is not included, but we do offer an Aquarium Fun Patch to commemorate your visit to the Downtown Aquarium.
  • All scout programs require a minimum of 5 scouts for booking.
  • We require 1 chaperone for every 5 scouts.
  • Please allow for 2 weeks’ notice when booking scout programs.
  • All scout programs are tax exempt.

Current Available Programs

  • Brownies Pets Badge - Scouts will learn how to provide excellent care for different types of pets, meet the animals that call the Aquarium home, learn how we care for them, and how it relates to responsible pet ownership. Scouts will feed our stingrays, create a home for a turtle, do a scavenger hunt, and more!
  • Juniors Habitats Badge - Scouts will meet the amazing animals that call the Aquarium home and discover how to protect and preserve their wild habitats. Scouts will feed our stingrays, learn about habitat conservation, meet animals up-close, and more!

Scouts (All Ages): $35.00 Chaperones (Ages 18+): Free - Receive 1 complimentary chaperone for every 5 paying scouts. Additional Chaperones (Ages 18+): $18.99

What to Expect

You may be meeting animals up close, going behind the scenes in “staff only” areas, doing arts & crafts, and possibly doing messy lab activities throughout the program. Please be prepared and wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty/wet. Flip flips and sandals are not permitted in behind-the-scenes areas.

All materials for the program, including a light snack, will be provided by the Aquarium’s Education Department. Come ready for a day filled with fun and learning!
