One of the most awesome and often overlooked features of Milford Sound is the journey to get here. The Milford road passes through some of New Zealand's most stunning and unspoiled mountain scenery.

Start your day with a scenic minibus journey along the magnificent Milford Road with our guide showing you the best spots, while you sit back and relax. We'll even pick you up from your accommodation!

You'd like to sit back & enjoy the views while someone does the driving for you. You're excited to paddle the fiord but don't want to miss anything on the way! For safety reasons this trip is for 14 years and over only, if bookings are made for children younger than 14, your trip may be cancelled on site by the guide and no refunds given.

Note: Once in Milford, you connect with our Sunriser Classic kayak trip. Does this trip look right for you? If you fancy a slightly longer, more challenging trip, a transport upgrade for the Stirling Sunriser is also possible. Or if you would prefer to go on a more relaxing trip, a transport upgrade for the Milford Cruiser is also possible. Talk to us if you're unsure!

Children 14 years and older only - Children MUST be over 25kg to safely fit our safety equipment. Please note: warm clothing and wet weather jacket must be supplied by caregivers for children size 10 or smaller (no jeans or cotton). Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the kayak.
