Two day Canoe Quest: Coalport to Bewdley

Ready for an unforgettable river adventure? Escape to the River Severn on this two-day canoe trip, packed with scenic paddling, outdoor bliss and a touch of adventure! We’ll take care of the details so you can focus on the experience- think picturesque waterways, cosy pubs and a night under the stars.

Day 1

Before you start you park your car with your overnight equipment at the Unicorn. We then arrange transport to Coalport. Your canoe journey begins at Coalport, where we’ll meet you to sort all the essentials - gear packing (plenty of space with our 60L dry bags), and a quick river briefing to get you ready for the water. Then it’s time to paddle!

Glide through leafy, tranquil stretches of the River Severn, with opportunities to stop for lunch—perhaps at a charming riverside pub in Bridgnorth or a quiet picnic spot by the water. By evening, you’ll arrive at The Unicorn, where you can set up camp and unwind. Cook your dinner under a canopy of stars, or treat yourself to a hot meal and drink at The Unicorn’s cosy pub.

Day 2

Wake up naturally, surrounded by the sounds of birds and rustling trees. After breakfast, it’s back on the river to continue your adventure, navigating the gentle currents and stunning scenery. By mid-afternoon, you’ll paddle into Bewdley, where we’ll meet you at 3 pm. End your trip in style with a ride on the heritage railway back to The Unicorn, tickets included!

What you'll need:

Bring your camping gear, clothing, food and cooking equipment. Campsite costs aren’t included, but we’ll provide full contact info when you book - be sure to reserve your spots ahead of time.

Ages 14+ (under-18s must paddle with an adult).

Must have 2 days of paddling experience and be able to steer a canoe.

Must be able to swim 50m.
