Single and Tandem Kayaks Kayak rentals include all safety equipment and a paddle. 5.7 Mile float down the Etowah River that is very relaxing. Bring a cooler and strap on a cooler tube for summer fun. This is a perfect trip for a big group wanting to enjoy the water or a nature enthusiast as the float is very of beautiful and sometimes rare wildlife.

Trips can be cancelled at any time due to weather or flow of the river (we are controlled by a dam, and sometimes it is unsafe). All equipment must return by 6:30 to avoid additional charges.
River Ratz does not promote the use of alcohol while tubing or kayaking. No glass bottles or Styrofoam coolers allowed on the river.
You must be 18 years of age or have a waiver signed by your parent or guardian. No children under 8 years of age and under 50 lbs can float or kayak in our equipment due to safety issues.
We will not rent equipment to you if you are intoxicated by alcoholic beverages or drugs.
Children 12 and under must wear a personal flotation device (PFD) at all times. River Ratz recommends that everyone wear their personal flotation device (PFD).
All property along the river is private property. Anyone getting out of the river onto private property could be subject to prosecution.
Water flow varies, resulting in faster or slower floats down the river.

All patrons of River Ratz should be in good physical condition and capable of swimming.
All patrons should wear protective shoes such as tennis shoes or water shoes.
All trash should be bagged and brought to the exit point of the river where River Ratz will dispose of it properly.

All patrons of River Ratz are responsible for rented equipment. Any loss or damaged equipment will be charged to the patron.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring sunglasses to stay comfortable during your float.
Pack plenty of water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized on your trip.
Review the forecast to ensure safe floating conditions and avoid storms.
Store valuables in waterproof containers to keep them dry during the float.
