About

Diver stress is a major cause of diving accidents, but, can be prevented with the right knowledge and training. In this fun, action packed specialty course you’ll learn vital skills and further develop your dive knowledge and confidence in these situations when in the water, not only making you a better diver, but a better dive buddy.

Requirements

  • Age 10+
  • Open Water Dive certification, with 15 logged dives OR
  • Advanced Adventurer Dive certification
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Oxygen Administration Certificate (can be completed with Swan Dive in conjunction with the Stress & Rescue Course)
  • Participants under 18 years old require a parent / guardian to complete application and liability form

Day 1 - Theory & Stress scenarios (Optional extra - Oxygen Administration Certification) Day 2 - Theory & Rescue scenarios

Before the Course

  • Create an SDI account (https://portal.tdisdi.com/register)
  • Complete the e-learning and final exam
  • Have the medical form signed by a GP (if applicable)
  • Obtain or hire all required dive equipment (visit us in store for recommendations)

What to Bring

  • Dive equipment - Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, Dive Computer, SMB & Reel, Dive Slate, Cutting Device
  • Bathers, towel, hat and sunscreen
  • Water bottle and snacks
  • GP signed medical form (if applicable)
  • Participants under 18 must have liability forms signed by a parent / guardian
