About Our Initiatives

Sea Turtle Conservationist Program (Snorkeling and Diving)

Dive into an unparalleled adventure with our Sea Turtle Conservationist Program, now available in both snorkeling and diving formats. Hosted in the crystal-clear waters of Waikiki Bay, this initiative provides a unique opportunity to observe sea turtles at their cleaning stations, where they are most natural and undisturbed.

This program stands out by combining marine exploration with significant conservation efforts. Participants, whether snorkeling or diving, use underwater cameras to take precise images of the turtles, which are then analyzed with facial recognition technology.

This innovative method assists in the tracking and identification of individual turtles, enhancing our understanding of their population health, migration routes, and allowing enthusiasts to contribute meaningfully by naming them.

Our program goes beyond mere observation, offering a deep dive into the importance of these creatures to the ecosystem, the threats they face, and how we can protect them.

Photogrammetry Training Program (Diving Only)

We are excited to offer our new Photogrammetry Training Program, exclusively designed for divers. This cutting-edge course aims to instruct participants in the application of photogrammetry techniques for the purpose of marine conservation.

Photogrammetry, the science of making measurements from photographs, is a vital tool in creating detailed 3D models of coral reefs, underwater landscapes, and marine species. These models are crucial for the ongoing monitoring and research necessary for conservation. Participants will gain hands-on experience in underwater photography, data collection, and the processing techniques required to contribute to marine preservation efforts effectively.

Both the Sea Turtle Conservationist Program, available as snorkeling or diving options, and the Diving-Only Photogrammetry Training Program are crafted to immerse participants in the critical work of marine conservation. Each offers a mix of practical conservation activities and educational content designed to leave participants with not only memorable experiences but also the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in marine ecosystem preservation.
