The business offers single and tandem kayak rentals, canoe rentals, tube rentals for the Androscoggin River with half- and whole-day options, row frame raft rentals for fishing and paddling, and a Canoe School focused on introductory whitewater canoeing. Northern Waters also operates a base camp in Errol with 12 unique tent campsites — each equipped with a fire pit and picnic table — plus six RV sites with complimentary tubes.

Paddling destinations supported by Northern Waters Outfitters include Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge, the winding Magalloway River, the Rapid River, and sections of the Androscoggin River including access to Androscoggin rapids. In addition to northern New Hampshire operations, Northern Waters Outfitters lists a NEWBURYPORT HARBOR 1 Hour Scenic Tour aboard the "Yankee Clipper." Narrated harbor tours to Newburyport Harbor and the Great Salt Marsh have been offered since 1979 and highlight maritime history and wildlife such as osprey and eagles. The outfitter provides guided suggestions, trip planning information, and customizable launch points to help paddlers of varying skill levels plan safe, enjoyable outings while respecting the natural environment.
