Embark on a scenic 2-2.5 hour kayak adventure along the tranquil West Branch of the DuPage River in Naperville.   • Take a river trip down the West Branch of DuPage River.
  • This winding and gentle branch of the DuPage River will offer you a memorable experience and a view of Naperville you’ve never seen before.
  • See the quiet corners or Naperville and a range of wildlife from blue heron, jumping fish, river otters, turtles, and much more.

What's Included

  • All trips include kayak, paddle, PFD (personal floatation device).
  • We recommend customers leave any valuables or things they don’t want lost or damaged in their vehicles.
  • We will transport you up the river by passenger van.
  • We provide water-resistant (dry) bags. We recommend customers wear synthetic clothing and avoid cotton.
  • We recommend customers wear closed-toed sneakers (old sneakers recommended) or sandals that cover their feet.
  • We also recommend sunscreen, water, and snacks.
  • Once kayakers and paddleboarders have been properly outfitted with their equipment they will be given some brief instruction about how to have a safe and memorable experience.

General Information

State regulations now require every renter to view a NASBLA approved safety course and receive a certification of completion of the test. This document will be located in the booking confirmation email after making your reservation.

When you arrive for your trip please bring proof of the certificate for each member of your party.

All Of Our River Trips Start At Zion Lutheran Church at 11007 Book Rd Naperville, IL 60564.

  • Must be at least age 10 to paddle on the river.
  • Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can sign a waiver on their behalf.
  • On the river, children under 18 must have a parent or guardian on the water with them at all times.
  • Please dress appropriately. You will get wet when on the water. Shoes and life jackets must be worn at all times.
  • Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
  • Naperville Kayak reserves the right to cancel any river trip in the event of severe weather or abnormal weather conditions.

We only offer our river trips when the river is safe for all paddlers. Sometimes the river is too low for us to navigate and other times it is too high. Before visiting us to paddle for your outing, please check our home page to see if there are any weather-related delays or disclosures. See you on the water! If there are any cancellation or changes due to weather or water levels we will notify you prior.
