Red Witch III is an exceptionally seaworthy, comfortable, fast and fun 6-passenger sailboat! Red Witch III is an "Islander 36" -- her sisterships routinely sail from LA to Honolulu, Hawai'i and two of her sisterships circumnavigated the globe. Cruising World Magazine proclaimed Islander 36 sailboats "One of the Twenty Best Boats in the World".

Elegant yet affordable private or semi-private sailing for $49 per person (for 90 minutes).

We offer PRIVATE Day Sails and Sunset Sails. You may also enjoyBreakfast Sails, Lunch Sails, Pre-Happy Hour Sails and Happy Hour Sails and special events ... from "A-Dock in Southport Marina" -- we meet outside the "Marquis" Building (at the south end of the marina's west parking lot -- near 3rd Avenue)

About The Sailing Experience

We really do sail – once outside the harbor we hoist the sails, turn off the engine, and experience the magnificence of pure sailing on Lake Michigan. If interested, the Captain will be happy to explain the math, physics and other technical aspects underlying how to sail.

We’re All About Your Safety – Boat

Red Witch II is equipped with all required safety gear. Red Witch II is a very seaworthy vessel. She was specifically designed to safely race on the Pacific Ocean– even in extreme weather. Note that one of her sisterships circumnavigated the globe twice.

We're All About Your Safety -- Captain

The captain has served as a Merchant Marine officer (100-Ton Ship’s Master) for 20+ years. He has safely carried 336,000 passengers on coastal Lake Michigan and coastal Pacific Ocean. He haspiloted commercial sailboats and motor vessels from Chicago’s Navy Pier (where he trained new captains to pilot 360-passenger architectural tourboats); Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, and Kenosha Harbor; Santa Barbara Harbor and Marina Del Rey (Los Angeles, California). We sail up to one mile or three miles offshore, depending upon the time of year-- as specified by the U.S Coast Guard.
