Celtic Deep is a marine adventure operator based in Dale, Wales, offering guided wildlife and snorkelling trips across Pembrokeshire and the Celtic Deep. The company runs three main experiences: Snorkelling Skomer & Skokholm, Full Day at Lundy Island, and Full Day in the Celtic Deep. Each trip focuses on close encounters with marine wildlife — from seabird colonies and puffins to seals, dolphins, and large pelagic sharks.
Trips operate from local departure points and include boat transfers; the Lundy Island trips depart from Tenby by boat. Snorkelling Skomer & Skokholm visits either Skomer or Skokholm depending on sea and weather conditions, combining shore-side birdlife viewing with guided snorkel sessions using decoys to attract puffins and other sea birds ('snAUKling'). The Full Day at Lundy Island includes snorkeling with seals, island exploration, and lunch at a local tavern. The Full Day in the Celtic Deep travels offshore to approximately 30 miles from shore to seek blue sharks, porbeagle sharks, dolphins, and whale species.
Guides are experienced in marine wildlife watching and operate under standard safety procedures for shore and offshore trips. Equipment, briefings, and local knowledge support responsible wildlife encounters and guest safety. Booking information, trip availability, and detailed itineraries are published by the operator for each listed experience. Celtic Deep presents seasonally scheduled departures tailored to weather and wildlife activity. Trips cater to a range of experience levels, with options for snorkel beginners and experienced divers, and include guidance on conservation practices to minimise disturbance to wildlife and habitats safely.
