The Liberty Star is a beautiful 67’ wooden schooner commissioned in 1972 and completed in 1982 in Harrington, ME. Originally christened the Rachel B. Jackson after the shipwright’s grandmother, the Star is a replica of an 1890s coastal schooner with sturdy mahogany planking, oak frames, traditional pine and fir decking, and exotic wooden cabinetry recalling the workmanship of days gone by.
The Star is available to charter for private groups for a minimum of 1.5 hours. The ship can accommodate up to 39 passengers in addition to its crew of three. Passengers are welcome to help raise the sails or simply sit back and enjoy the fresh harbor air with unbeatable views of historic Boston.
