About
Depart from your hotel or accommodation in/around Lugano. Your van and driver will pick you up at your accommodation or from the station, and from there you embark on the day trip of a lifetime. Head north from Lugano and enjoy the fairytale Swiss backdrop of typical Ticino country homes and villages as you navigate along the crystal-clear Verzasca River. As you pass the Verzasca Dam, your driver points out the famous bungee jump location where scenes from the James Bond film Goldeneye were shot.
We arrive at Lavertezzo, home to the postcard-perfect Romanesque stone bridge where you can see locals and tourists alike jumping off this bridge into the stunning emerald colored water of the Verzasca river. Relax in the crystal clear waters or join one of the only organized scuba diving activities in Switzerland, and then enjoy lunch in this magical location.
After lunch, your driver accompanies you to one of the most enchanting towns along Lake Maggiore: Ascona. At just 196 meters above sea level, Ascona is the lowest-lying town in Switzerland, enjoying mild weather while being often surrounded by snow-capped peaks. It embodies the marriage of picture-perfect Switzerland with the Italian Dolce Vita.
Stroll along the lakeside promenade, enjoy a coffee in one of the old town coffee shops or sit and relax while enjoying a spritz and some people watching in this Swiss-Italian lakeside haven.
Enjoy a swim in Lake Maggiore or one of the various water sports offered before drying off and making the return trip to Lugano.
