We'll start by covering the basics on the beach - how to properly pop up on the board, paddle effectively, and read the waves. From there, you'll learn techniques for paddling into the waves and understanding how waves form and break. Safety is a huge priority, so we'll make sure you understand ocean hazards like rip currents and how to navigate them. Once you're comfortable in the water, you'll practice maneuvering your surfboard, turning, and riding small waves. Our patient instructors will work with you one-on-one to build your confidence and skills at your own pace. Whether you're completely new to surfing or looking to transition from the whitewash to catching green waves, these lessons will give you the foundational knowledge and abilities to safely and successfully surf.
