About
The Surf Shack is an ISA affiliated surf school and outdoor activity centre in Co.Wexford. We have been introducing kids to surfing since 2013 and some of those kids are now working in our surf school. We specialise in an epic, fun-filled day surfing for kids aged 6-16.

The Beach
Situated at the foot of the raven nature reserve Curracloe Beach is a fun and safe introduction to surfing. You will probably see a seal or two.
Curracloe’s surf is perfect for beginners so we will have you riding your first wave in no time. We make sure that what ever your age or ability, you will have an awesome time. Parents can safely watch form the shore also.
The Lesson
- We build your skills from the ground up and after a lesson with us you will be capable of surfing safely by yourself in Curracloe (*never surf alone)
- Learn how to read the surf charts (wind, swell, tide, wave formation), get the basics on your board and go rock out on the waves
- Groups of 8 so you get constant quality instruction
- 8 years of coaching experience developing grass-roots surfing in Co.Wexford
- We do shallow water teaching for beginners so you don't need to be a competent swimmer to learn
- All sessions are suitable for ages 6-16.
Private Groups
Lessons are available for private kids groups also please get in touch for more info. We can run excellent birthday parties or team-building days out.

Please only bring essential items for changing outside (ie. swimwear and towel). We will provide the rest for you. There are no storage facilities at The Shack so please leave your gear in your car.
