About

  • In this on-water seminar, you'll learn how to paddle a flatwater kayak efficiently. We'll cover all the basics including terminology, the best ways to enter and exit a kayak, as well as the basic strokes, proper posture, holding the paddle, and more. Approximate time on the water is 2 to 2.25 hours. Latter part of the session we plan to enjoy kayaking on the lake among the cypress trees at an easy pace practicing our paddling skills.

Our goal is for you to be able to easily paddle your kayak in a straight line, turn quickly in both directions and to do it with techniques that will minimize effort on your arms. This clinic includes boats, paddles, PFD's and Instructor.
