Arrival

It is important that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Please check in with staff at the kiosk upon arrival.

About

During Jetty Island Days (July 5 - August 31), the 60-passenger ferry operates Wednesday through Sunday. The ferry departs from Jetty Landing, which is adjacent to the boat launch at 10th Street and West Marine View Drive. The ride itself is about 10 minutes.

During low tides, the ferry may depart from and return to the "A" dock, which is a short walk from the parking lot. Low tides may be operable but can cause issues for those with mobility impairments. Please call (360) 805 - 6708 or email jetty.island@co.snohomish.wa.us with any questions! We are available Mon - Fri from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Important Information

  • Anyone with a reservation must arrive to the Jetty Island Kiosk at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled ferry departure or the reserved tickets will be released and given to those waiting in the standby line.
  • Ferry service may be canceled due to inclement weather or tides.
  • The last return trip is at 5:45PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, the last return trip is at 6:45PM. Return trips should be booked at the same time as your paid ticket when prompted. Otherwise, a direct link will be provided to you to book your return with your ticket confirmation.
  • Jetty Island does have a specialty wheelchair on-site which functions well in the sandy environment.
  • Pets are not allowed on the Jetty Island Ferry.

There are ghost shrimp hard at work on the island creating their burrows which can cause unexpected sinking when walking on exposed mud at low tides. Please be cautious!

Carts and Strollers on Jetty Island

Please note that the number of strollers and carts allowed on the ferry is restricted due to safety concerns. We can only allow up to five strollers, carts, or wheeled cargo per voyage for guest safety and ease of movement. Additionally, the sandy environment of Jetty Island can make them impractical for use. There is no facility on the island where you can leave your cart or stroller, which is important to consider before bringing one over.

Admittance of your cart or stroller will be decided on a first-come, first-served basis. This limitation also applies to the return journey, so if you do bring a stroller or cart onto Jetty Island, we advise you arrive early for your return trip. We encourage you to pack efficiently and bring only what you can comfortably carry onto the island.

Please be aware that this limitation is specific to strollers, carts, and other wheeled items. Wheelchairs and other ADA mobility devices or aids are not restricted by this policy. We appreciate your understanding! Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities as you explore Jetty Island!

Parking

As a benefit to your reservation, you can pre-purchase parking at Jetty Landing for your reservation date at a discounted rate of $2 (plus taxes and fees) for up to 8 hours. You will receive a link to do so in your confirmation email. If you don't pre-purchase at the discounted rate, visitor parking is available at Jetty Landing Park first come, first served. Kiosks on site will not print out a paper pass. License plates are monitored to enforce parking. Parking is available for free up to two (2) hours; posted rates apply thereafter.

Changes/Modifications

  • Changes from one-time slot to another are permitted if seating is available.
