What to bring

  • No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don't mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets.
  • In colder weather, a wetsuit or drysuit would be advisory.
  • Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you go in during the paddle boarding session.
  • A dry bag and phone case is a good idea.
  • Water, snack, hat and sunscreen if hot.
  • You can use your own board or one will be provided.

Important Info

The group will start at the base and under the instruction of the coach will be taught about the equipment and fitted with buoyancy aids. The session will cover water safety and river etiquette. The coach will teach the group how to paddle, turn, stop and stand up on the board. All of this will then be put into practice on the River Thames.
