About This Adventure

Grommets Surf Camp offers an exhilarating summer experience for boys aged 9-16 at Wrightsville Beach, NC. Limited to just five students per session, this camp ensures a unique and memorable adventure in ocean safety and surfing.

WHAT IS GROMMETS SURF CAMP?

Wrightsville Beach, NC's Boys-Only summertime surf camp! For boys ages 9-16 years old! Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:30-10am, every week of the summer! Each camp has a capacity of 5 students total! This camp is great for beginners all the way up to advanced surfers.

FYI: 'Grommet' or 'Grom' translates to something like 'little surfer dude' in surf slang.

Our camp's strength is highly personalized, fun, and effective surf instruction catered to your child's particular skill development set. We'd like to see them showing us all the work and know-how of surfing well on their own by the end of the camp! Your kids will come out of this camp absolutely stoked on surfing! But don't take it from us, just ask around!

Our CPR and First Aid Certified instructors will be teaching your kid(s) ocean safety, how to surf and/or improve their surfing skills. We also have a ton of other fun beach activities we do when the surf isn't cooperating and/or the kids are getting tired. If this is the case, we'll be bodysurfing and/or riding bodyboards in the shore break, as well as doing some light relays to improve the kids' paddling, swimming, breath holding ability and overall safety in the ocean.

We also run the Wahine Week Surf Camp for girls ages 9-16 years old, AND the Yewwth Surf Camp for children ages 6-8. All camps operate at the same location and are separated by 100 yards or so. Camps run weekly; Monday-Friday from 8:30-10am.

These are Wrightsville Beach, NC's finest summertime surf camps. Don't settle for less!
