The Traditional Greenland Games at Share Discovery Village are returning for 2025!

A unique event to Northern Ireland, the traditional Greenland Games allows paddlers of all levels to learn this unique style of paddling. This year’s games will be held at Share Discovery Village from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September.

The weekend is an opportunity for those who have an interest in Greenland kayaking to share ideas, learn new skills and to hone their kayaking techniques. It will consist of coaching and testing new skills. There will be lots of fun competitions throughout the weekend. This unique paddling event is the only event of its kind happening in Ireland.

There will opportunities over the weekend for: • Greenland Ropes Games / Gymnastics • Harpoon Throwing • Greenland Rolling Techniques • Rolling session in Share Discovery Village pool (Friday evening) • BRAND NEW Paddle Making with Valkyrie Craft – Book through link above • Yoga workshop • Socials in bar on Friday & Saturday evening • Greenland themed meal on Saturday evening • Presentation delivered by James Manke and Eiichi Ito ….

The official Greenland Games Competition will take place on Sunday 28th September – with guest judges.
