Offering free educational field trips for groups, students engage with interactive tours, touch tank demonstrations, and hands-on activities. With state-of-the-art aquariums showcasing diverse ecosystems, this program fosters environmental stewardship in an unforgettable way.
The River Center, located in Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter, is offering educational field trip programs to public, private, charter, and homeschool groups throughout the fiscal school year. Through support from the Loxahatchee River District, the River Center provides these programs for FREE.* Our programs our designed to meet the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for kindergarten through 12th grade. Our mission is to foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River’s diverse watershed with quality programs, educational exhibits, and meaningful events.
The River Center features 9 state of the art aquariums representing the different ecosystems of the Loxahatchee River. Our programs include an interactive tour of our facility, a touch tank demonstration, and a hands-on activity of your choosing for up to 50 students. Programs are 2 hours long starting at 10 a.m.
Bookings and reservations are not complete until you receive a personal email from a River Center Staff Member.
Programs are staff and facilities dependent. The River Center reserves the right to change or modify your program.

Plan to arrive at the River Center early in the day to ensure your group can participate in all interactive exhibits and scheduled demonstrations.
Students should wear comfortable, casual clothing that can get wet or dirty during touch tank and outdoor activities.
Bring sunscreen and water bottles to stay protected and hydrated, especially during warmer months.
Verify group size limits in advance to accommodate all students and ensure a quality experience.
