About This Adventure

Can't bring your students to the Aquarium? We'll bring the Aquarium to you!

Choose a program from a variety of program topics to keep your students interested and engaged in learning - from coral reefs and sharks to reptiles and lab dissections!


Availability

  • Programs are 30 minutes long.
  • Offered Monday - Friday from 9:00AM – 4:00PM (based on staff availability). Weekends and evenings may be available based on staff availability. Please contact us to inquire about weekend or evening programs.
  • Eligible Locations: Locations within 45 miles of the Downtown Aquarium.
  • Maximum participants per Program: 30
  • Limited to three programs total per day.
  • If booking multiple program sessions, there can be a maximum of 15 minutes between program start times.

Rates

  • $200 for the first program.
  • $160 (each) for second and third program. Additional programs must be booked for the same day at the same location.
  • Full payment for the program is due at the time of booking.
  • An online booking fee is added to the total.
  • If paying with a check, please contact us directly at (713) 315-5112 to book over the phone. Your reservation is not guaranteed without a confirmation email.

Policies

  • Outreaches are facilitated at schools, churches, daycares, libraries, and community centers only. We do not provide outreaches for private residences.
  • This program is not an auditorium-style presentation. This is a classroom program designed for groups no larger than 30 total participants per program.
  • If the number of participants in the class surpasses our maximum capacity of 30 individuals, an additional program fee of $160.00 will be applicable.
  • Our Educators will need one table for their presentation.
  • We prefer programs to be presented indoors.
  • Programs with live animals cannot be presented in a room with other animals such as classroom pets.
  • We are unable to guarantee specific animals for your program, but we will do our best to accommodate requests.
  • Outreach program cancellations must be made at least one week in advance in order to receive a full refund. Cancellation must be requested in writing at AquariumHouston@Ldry.com
  • Cancellations made with less than one week's notice will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
  • The Downtown Aquarium reserves the right to end any program early if participants do not follow program guidelines or are not being respectful to the staff or animals.
