About
Non-certified divers will experience a PADI Discover Scuba Dive which covers the fundamental rules and guidelines of safe scuba diving.
Once you meet your instructor, you will complete a questionnaire and worksheet followed by an in-depth briefing that explores this info in more detail. Your PADI Professional will introduce the dive gear & equipment, explain its purpose, and then you'll put it on! We’ll enter the pool and practice 3 basic scuba-related skills which are important for safety and to demonstrate just how easy scuba diving really is.
After successfully demonstrating these 3 basic skills, your instructor will lead you on a swim around the pool to build up your confidence navigating the water as a first-time scuba diver.
For those that are comfortable with the pool experience and want to take it further, we encourage you to consider upgrading to one of our Ocean Discovery Dives, where you'll be face-to-face with marine life of all shapes, sizes and colors.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications, and/or recent surgery may require you to obtain written approval from a physician before diving. Review the PADI Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire at the link below BEFORE booking to avoid disappointment. Dive Kauai instructors and staff are NOT physicians. Only medical professionals can provide medical clearance to dive.
