Beschrijving
We varen vandaag naar de Betuwe vanouds de fruittuin van Nederland. Dat moet natuurlijk geproefd worden en daar wordt voor gezorgd. Onderweg vertelt de gids allerlei bijzonderheden over de rivier en het landschap, waar we langs varen. Bestemming is De Spees bij Kesteren. Dit gebied was vele eeuwen een strategisch verdedigingspunt tegen invallen uit het oosten. De gids neemt ons mee op een wandeling en laat ons zien wat er nog van is te herkennen.
In de prijs van de vaart zijn de excursie onder begeleiding van één van onze gidsen en de Betuwse lekkernij inbegrepen.
