What exactly can you expect from this tour?

A unique combination of fantastic views, romantic alleys, 4th-century basilicas, and temples of the Roman Republic. You will be guided by one of our local, certified tour guides. Highlights of the guided tour

  • Our first destination is the “Piazzale Giuseppe Garibaldi“. For this, we climb the “Gianicolo” and enjoy the green surroundings and the unique views over Rome.
  • Then we admire the “Fontana dell’Aqua Paola“, one of the highest fountains in the city, with another impressive view.
  • Then follows the “Tempietto di Bramante” also known as “San Pietro in Montorio“. It marks the place where the apostle lord Peter was crucified.
  • Then we enter the heart of the “Trastevere” district with a visit to the second most important Marian church in the world “Santa Maria in Trastevere“.
  • It is followed by one of the oldest basilicas of the city “San Crisogono“.
  • Then we discover the basilica “San Francesco a Ripa” with the masterpiece of Bernini, the “Rapture of Ludovica Albertoni“.
  • Then we visit the Basilica of the patron saint of music “Santa Cecilia in Trastevere” from the 5th century.
  • On the Tiber island, we will search for the relics of the Apostle Bartholomew in “San Bartolomeo all’Isola“.
  • The highlight of the tour is the “Forum Boarium” with the oldest preserved buildings of the Roman Republic and the church “Santa Maria in Cosmedin” with the mouth of truth the “Bocca della Verità“.

  • Shoulders, knees and back have to be covered.
  • The tour ends near the metro “Circo Massimo” and the bus station of the “Piazza Venezia”.
