Join the Development Team for an exciting sailing journey that fosters confidence, teamwork, and essential seamanship skills. This inclusive community emphasizes personal growth, sportsmanship, and the joy of sailing, while also introducing competitive racing. Experience a supportive environment where every sailor can thrive on and off the water.
The Development Team is designed for sailors that want to learn to sail and be a part of a fun, inclusive community. The team focuses on building up foundational sailing knowledge and skills that will carry forward to the rest of their sailing career.
The Development Team aims to:
Join us on the Development Team for an enriching experience that goes beyond the basics of sailing. We're not just a team; we're a community dedicated to helping each sailor thrive both on and off the water.
We do not want cost to be a barrier from participation, our scholarship program can be found here.
Required Gear
All sailors are required to wear a lifejacket with a whistle, which the CBC will provide. There will also be days that we will require a wetsuit (which we can provide) or you won’t be able to sail. We strongly encourage proper gear such as gloves, booties, and no cotton (we have these available as well!). On the days we are not able to sail we will do team workouts, including cardio exercises, team members must always be prepared for running.
Please email us with any additional questions.
