About This Adventure

Embark on a captivating photo tour of Monhegan Island, a hidden gem for artists. With a small group of just six, you'll explore stunning landscapes, visit artist studios, and hike scenic trails. Experience the island's charm, rich history, and breathtaking views, all while enhancing your photography skills in a serene setting.

10am-6pm, meet at Monhegan Boat Line in Port Clyde.

Fees:

  • Adult - $230, Ages 11-16 - $155 (Fee includes your ferry ticket.)
  • Ages 10 or under – free but must purchase a ferry ticket.
  • All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. for paying participants.

All camera types and all skill levels always welcome. Learn to gain a better understanding of your camera controls and how to compose your images with a creative eye.

The Island This 1-day photo tour will be unforgettable as you unplug from technology, step back in time, and explore a remote island with a year-round population of 65, and no paved roads. Discover for yourself Monhegan’s stunning landscape; rocky beaches, forest & meadow, and ocean cliffs the highest on the Maine coast with crashing surf below.

Visit artist’s studios, galleries, village scenery, hiking trails at Cathedral Forest or Wildflower Meadow, an old shipwreck at Lobster Cove, the solar powered, computer operated Lighthouse that sits high on a hill towards the center of the island and the Museum on its grounds that is housed in the former lighthouse keepers house.
