The Trip: It is a sea kayaking trip to one of the biggest natural attractions along coastal Cyprus.
Our sit-on-top single kayaks are light watercraft that can be used by individuals with no kayaking experience for a fun exploration of some of the most scenic coastlines in Cyprus. The water is usually crystal clear and light blue in colour as the surface consists mostly of white sand.
Pickup time (we may be able to offer a free ride in our company car from Larnaca): To be agreed with the travelers. The trip starts at 09:00.
Pickup location: At an agreed place (eg hotel but no port or airport in Larnaca).
Itinerary: This kayaking trips starts from Limnara beach. We do a go and return trip to Cape Greko Sea Caves cove. This trip is offered throughout the year, provided the sea is calm enough (usually it is calm before midday).
The route to go and return from Cape Greko Sea Caves Cove is a bit over three kilometers. We can finesse the route, subject to travellers' preference and profile, as well as the sea conditions.
Transportation: The package doesnot include transportation. If travellers are interested, the guide may be able to offer them a free ride in the company's private car from/to Larnaca.
The use of a sit-on-top single sea kayak, paddle, pfd, (if requested, drybag) Guiding the trip
Food & drinks Transportation (the guide may be able to offer participants a free ride. This is not a taxi service and the vehicle holds a private car insurance)
Confirmation will be received at time of booking. Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions. Each kayak has a listed maximum capacity of 125 kg. It is very likely that the ride will not be comfortable for payloads of more than 100 kg, so we only take kayakers with lower weight. Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. Minors can participate provided they are escorted by their parent(s). In case of forecasted choppy sea we would offer the possibility of a kayaking trip between Green Bay and Fig Tree Bay. The travellers also would have the option to cancel the trip (with full refund of course).
Water is a must (though one could buy in Agia Napa). Sun protection, bathing suite, towels (especially if the guide will give the travellers a free ride). Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would get wet and they should not bring along things that could be damaged by salt water. The single kayaks are light, only 18 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place on them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayak, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring polarized sunglasses to shield from strong sun during paddling.
Ensure weather is calm and conditions are suitable for kayaking, especially if you’re a beginner.
Stay hydrated and enjoy some light snacks for energy during the tour.
Follow your guide’s instructions carefully for safety and maximize your experience.
