Experience the thrill of River Boarding on the Barron River, just a short drive from Cairns. Navigate challenging grade 3 rapids amidst stunning tropical rainforest with expert guidance. Just a short 15min drive from Cairns, we take you to the mighty Barron River in amongst the tropical rainforest. Barron Gorge National Park, is well known as one of two White Water Rafting hotspots around Cairns over a challenging grade 3 white-water… If you have already been White Water Rafting before, River Boarding is your next adventure!

Please allow up to 4.5hrs for the whole experience from start to finish, every day is a little different, depends on weather, road conditions & fun!

What to Bring##

  • BYO food – Snacks
  • Swimmers, boardies, cozzies, bikinis, rash top (Optional)
  • Towel, Sunnies & Sunscreen
  • Comfy sandals or flip flops
  • Shoes aren’t needed but thick socks can be a good idea to prevent fins from rubbing
  • Maybe something a little warmer in winter, dry change of clothes & jumper
  • Camera/Go Pro & attachments (must be hands free)
  • Cash (just in case for extras)
  • Wear contact lenses rather than prescription glasses.
  • Daily medication
  • Humour & a sense of adventure

Restrictions##

  • Age: Guests under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Pregnancy: Strongly not recommended during any stage of your pregnancy.
  • Fitness Levels: We accept your challenge to cater to everyone’s pace, size & ability.
  • Swimming Levels: Guests need to have a very basic level of confidence to manovere in the water.
  • Medical Conditions: Please advise diet requirements, allergies, surgeries, impairments, or disabilities that may affect your level of enjoyment on the day & so we can best cater to you.
