We love hosting groups on the Byron Solar Train. We host tour groups, corporate groups, wedding parties, garden clubs, Probus Clubs, Rotary Clubs, choirs, family groups, school groups and more.
To help you make the most of the experience we have partnered with North Byron Hotel, across the road from North Beach Station, to offer different Ride in Style packages.
North Byron Hotel, is set in bushland with a stunning outlook from the timber deck. Meals are both inspired and priced to please. North Byron Hotel boasts a large variety of craft beers as well as old favourites. The wine list includes a selection of natural and minimal intervention wines. North Byron Hotel is child-friendly with a children's play area.
Drinks and children's meals are an additional cost and can be purchased directly at the North Byron Hotel.
Pets are not permitted to travel on the Byron Solar Train. Guide dogs are exempt.
Byron Solar Train staff are able to assist passengers with special needs and ramps are available at both stations, as well as an accessible toilet at North Beach Station.
The Byron Solar Train operates a two-car heritage 660 series rail motor. The threshold width on the passenger doorways is 660mm. This is wide enough to fit most non-motorised wheelchairs, however, some motorised wheelchairs will not fit through these doors. The narrow width between the train seats are a further restriction however passengers in wheelchairs are able to ride in the entrance vestibule.
