This popular section of the river offers a leisurely journey through tranquil waters, where you can admire the scenic surroundings of nature. Park your vehicle at Farm by Beer Tree and take the convenient shuttle to the launch site, making the logistics of your trip a breeze. As you glide down the river, you'll pass by Chenango Valley State Park, adding to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of your paddle. Whether you're a beginner or experienced paddler, this 5-mile trip is the perfect way to unwind and connect with nature.
Arrive at Farm by Beer Tree 15 minutes before departure time. Park your vehicle and meet at the TAE Kayak Shack to get your life jacket. Jump in the TAE shuttle van and take a ride to the Chenango Forks public launch. Get a safety briefing and launched into the river for you 5 mile trip. Depending on how hard you paddle, it can be done in about 60 minutes. You can also take your time and spend a few hours. At the end of your paddle, you'll be back at Farm by Beer Tree. You'll turn in your rented equipment and can enjoy a post paddle meal and drink.
