Prerequisite is our Basic Keelboat - Learn to Sail Clinic
Once completed the following skills should be attained.
Demonstrated ability to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered (outboard or inboard engine) keelboat of approximately 30 to 40 feet length by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Knowledge of cruising terminology, boat systems including engine/ water/ waste, auxiliary engine operation, docking/ anchoring procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic chart and electronic navigation, weather forecast interpretation, safety, and seamanship. Four-day clinic. Approximately 20 hours on the water. Great way to start learning about cruising !!
