Trip overview:

Balandra Bay, known for its pristine beaches, mangroves, calm waters and stunning landscapes is a natural protected area and a must-see attraction when visiting La Paz. Make sure you don’t miss out, and visit this iconic destination on a day trip with RED Travel. We will make the short trip (40 minutes) to Balandra by boat, departing from the RED Travel Office at Puerta Cortes. We will stop off at San Rafaelito, a small outcropping of rock teeming with marine life including juvenile sea lions*. Here we will jump in the water to snorkel with our naturalist guide before continuing on to Balandra Bay. Enjoy a tasty lunch (dietary restrictions taken into account), relax on the beach, explore the nature trails, and snorkel in the crystal water before returning to La Paz.

  • All trips are staffed by certified bilingual naturalist guides and licensed captain.
  • Boats are outboard skiffs with full shade, seat cushions, and dry storage space.
  • Beginner/first time snorkelers are welcome, but must be able to swim to participate in snorkeling portion of the trip.
  • Upon payment, RED will request specific passenger information and will provide departure specific information.
