About Angelita & Taj Mahal (Two Tanks)

  • Definitely for the experienced diver considering that Angelita is a 140 ft (42 m) deep sink hole and at about 90 ft (27 m) you will run into a layer of fallen trees in/and? tannin gas.
  • You must hold a Open Water certification or greater.
  • Second dive will be at a very classic cavern, the Grand Cenote with a maximum depth of 35 ft (10 m)

For the first dive:

  • 110 feet this is a sink whole Cenote that bottoms out at 165 feet.
  • At about 90 feet there is a tangle of trees that have fallen in over the years.
  • Their process of decay has created a layer of tannin gas.

For the second dive:

  • 30 to 35 feet - Often paired with Angelita.
  • Very classic cavern Cenote that is enjoyable for both divers and snorkelers.
