About

The Walla Walla AVA straddles the Washington Oregon border with about half of the planted acreage on the Washington side. Our southside route will take you right up to the Oregon border. In this AVA, there are approximately 2,933 acres of vineyards. It is known for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.

This is our longest route at about 15 miles, and it is arguably the most scenic. You will wind through wheat fields and vineyards with the picturesque Blue Mountains in the background. The wine and tasting rooms in this area are not to be missed. Bring your camera, you will undoubtedly want to take lots of photos!

What to bring/wear/consider:

  • Please dress for the weather and consider that you will be riding a bike. Dresses or skirts can make riding tricky and are therefore, discouraged.
  • Please eat a substantial breakfast. Tasting on an empty stomach is never a good idea.
  • Don’t forget sunscreen.
  • Sneakers are recommended; flat soled, closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Water! It can be very hot out on the road. We will provide water and water bottles. Hydration is critical!
  • Mask

What to leave at home:

  • Your guide will be able to carry your personal belongings but there is limited space on a bike.
  • Please just bring what you need. Leave large purses at home.
  • We also love our pets but unfortunately we cannot accommodate them on our tours and they are not allowed at many of our stops.
