You step off the quay onto uneven cobbles, the estuary opening ahead like a slow-moving road of pewter light. Salt and seaweed hang in the air, gulls quarter the sky, and a small group follows a local guide who points out boathouses, tidal marks and a tucked-away lane that climbs toward an old churchyard.

The tour includes cobbles and short stone staircases and is not recommended for those with significant mobility or spinal/heart issues; contact the operator for accessibility options.
Children are welcome but the tour pace and stairs mean younger kids should be supervised; group size is small, up to eight participants.
