moderate.
2–3 hours.
Moderate fitness: able to walk for several hours on uneven, sandy terrain and tolerate heat.
The guided walk lasts about 2–3 hours (the listed activity time is 180 minutes) and covers mostly flat terrain.
This operator does not recommend the walk for children under 12 due to safety and wildlife concerns; check with the guide for exceptions.
Encounters with elephants, hippos and antelope are possible but never guaranteed — sightings depend on season, time of day and animal movement.
Bring sunscreen, a sunhat, binoculars, personal medication, and a camera; the operator supplies water, light snacks, and a fleece poncho when needed.
The park protects the Zambezi’s riverine corridor immediately downstream of Victoria Falls and preserves habitats long used by local river communities for fishing and grazing.
Walks are run to minimize disturbance — stay on the guide’s path, avoid litter, and support local operators who invest in anti-poaching and community outreach.
