Seaside Hiking Adventure with Evia Adventure Tours

A day trip to Zarakes beach with a local experienced guide. A relaxed countryside stroll for the whole family ideal all year round, followed by swimming in the amazing Aegean Sea.

The tour is for those wanting to stretch their legs rather than sit at the beach all day. No steep hills or hard climbs, just easy paced strolling through the old settlement of Zarakes village called “Mahala”. You will walk along masterly restored stone houses, and get a glimpse of what life used to be like here not that long ago.

A great family outing for kids 12+, who will especially enjoy the time at the beach, as it is safe but also adventurous. One could extend the walk all along the coastline to explore one more hidden cove, at their own leisure. If you try hard enough you can already imagine the taste of salty water rubbing on your lips after your tenth dive into this turquoise heaven. What would an ice cold beer feel like? An ice-cream for the kids and fresh fish dishes from Sofia at the tavern?? Still thinking about it??

Itinerary

• 09:15 – Pickup from Palmariva Hotel

• 09:30 – Pickup from Eretria port

• 09:45 – Pickup from Porto Evia Boutique Hotel

• 09:55 – Pickup from Evia Riviera Resort

• 10:25 – Arrive at Zarakes village, brief coffee & snaks stop.

• 10:45 – Start of the walking tour.

• 13:15 – Arrive at Zarakes beach, free time for swimming.

• 16:00 – Leave Zarakes beach.

• 17:30 - 18:00 Return to Eretria

Availability

Shared tour runs with a minimum of 5 participants, on Wednesday. Your will receive confirmation if capacity for tour has been reached aprox. 10-12 Hours prior to tour start. No fees will be charged if tour is cancelled. You can arrange a private tour upon request & availability. Available from 15th March to November.
