About
-This tour is a narrated journey into the red hills and colorful cliffs that Georgia O’Keeffe painted while living here at Ghost Ranch. Walking into the landscape, using the arroyos and paths that she used – taking great care herself to preserve the fragile desert ecology – the guide will show you reproductions of paintings close to the actual painting sites as well as tell stories about her life here at Ghost Ranch. At one point we will walk by her home. Although this house has never been opened to the public, the view of the adobe in its high desert setting is soul inspiring.
-Be prepared to walk for two plus hours at an elevation of 6,400’ – you will need sturdy shoes, a broad-brimmed hat, water, sunscreen, and a long-sleeve sun shirt or windbreaker. Walking distance: 3 miles

-SCHEDULE: -Our tours are opened throughout the year on a rolling basis. Typically the schedule will be up two months in advance for a particular month.
