The boat eases off the launch and the lake opens like a single breath; the Mastercraft X-10 pieces together a clean, surfable wake, and the water dares you to step into its push. On Lake Whatcom the shoreline swaps between fir-studded slopes and low, rocky bluffs, and for two hours you’ll be riding the wake instead of chasing it.
