Old Mission Peninsula is one of Michigan’s earliest recognized wine regions; its narrow landform and bay-moderated climate have supported vineyards since the late 19th and 20th centuries.
Many vineyards on the peninsula practice soil conservation and integrated pest management; visitors should stay on designated paths and carry out trash to protect fragile shoreline habitats.
Movie Stars Wine Tours operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
